Americus, GA – (September 26, 2023) – 13th Colony Distillery, an emerging brand in the world of bourbon, is proud to announce the release of its 2023 Double Oaked Bourbon. This exceptional 10-year-old bourbon, boasting an impressive 136.8 Proof and limited to just 3,216 bottles, is set to make its mark in the whiskey world. This exclusive limited release will be available in select markets, including Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas, as well as online through Seelbach’s and Bourbon Outfitter.

The Double Oaked Bourbon represents the culmination of years of dedication and craftsmanship. Built upon 13th  Colony's consistent bourbon mash bill, a testament to its commitment to quality, this 2023 release promises a truly unique bourbon experience. The mash bill features a harmonious blend of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley, all locally grown and sourced whenever possible.

What truly sets the 13th Colony Double Oaked Bourbon apart is its maturation process. The bourbon is aged in separate, charred oak barrels to extract additional soft, sweet oak character. This meticulous process is followed by a finishing touch with toasted maple wood, resulting in a bourbon that delivers a robust proof punch while maintaining a luxuriously smooth palate.

13th Colony’s Master Distiller, Graham Arthur, is a Coast Guard veteran and trained as a classical chef, graduating from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Graham worked in notable restaurants in Atlanta and Charleston and is truly an artist of flavor.

This release follows the immense success of 13th Colony's 2022 Georgia-only Double Oak release, which quickly sold out. The bourbon community has certainly taken notice, with accolades such as Double Platinum at the 2023 Ascot Awards and a thriving secondary market presence, with some bottles fetching close to $1,000.
